Barbara Morford Presents Glacier Bay in Alaska on Feb 19 in Plain

Stop by the Plain Library on Sunday, February 19th to meet Barbara Morford, who spends six months of each year in Alaska. She will give a presentation on Glacier Bay National Park in Alaska. Jen Rinehart and Kathy Brandt will also present a brief slide show on their backcountry kayak trip in Glacier Bay. Photos include whales, glaciers, sea lions and more. Refreshments will be served. The Voice calendar is limited to the towns covered by Voice. Those include: Arena, Avoca, Dodgeville, Lone Rock, Mazomanie, Mineral Point, Muscoda, Plain, Prairie du Sac, Richland Center, Sauk City, Spring Green, In the future we may expand that area but for you are welcome to submit events in these towns. Events must be arts oriented, education, environment, locally owned businesses. Thank you, Mary

You may now post your own calendar events on the Voice website. The event must meet our criteria. It must be in our coverage area (see towns on any issue of Voice or on the Home Page. It must be associated with the arts, healing, history, environmental concerns, etc. It can not be about politics or sports. Just go the the website, click on submit event and fill in the form. The post will come to the admin team for approval and then posted.

Horse drawn sleigh rides, A menagerie of animals, a warming fire all day at the bonfire site. Enjoy a long distance view of the Riverway from on top of the bluff. There are areas to cross-country ski, snowshoe and go sledding. Trampoline fun inside the barn. Learn how to walk on stilts. Bring your Pogo stick if you have one!
