Voice of the River Valley is far more than a guide. It is a refined publication featuring the residents and businesses of the River Valley area in southwestern Wisconsin along with a calendar of the numerous events being held year round. This area has attracted many artists, alternative healers, architects, environmentalists, authors, musicians, historians, actors and other innovative and talented people; so many that our calendar of events is always chuck full of a broad variety of experiences. You will find a richness in our valley, a richness not often found in other places.

Our mission is to inform, educate, and inspire readers. Thanks to those who advertise their businesses with us, readers pay nothing for Voice. We now have close to 100 distribution sites. If, for some reason, you are unable to locate a copy, please call us at 608.574.9358 or email us at info@voiceoftherivervalley.com.
We will be happy to either provide one for you or direct you to one of our many distributors. Subscriptions are also available for an annual fee of $22.00, enough to cover postage and handling.

We welcome your business. If you are interested in advertising with us, know that your ad will run for a full month. Our distribution is 3,000 copies a month. We know that people read Voice in the various libraries and restaurants and then leave the copies for others. Soon advertisers will be able to place an ad directly on this website. In the meantime, the current issue of Voice contains ads with live links so that readers may visit the sites of those advertisers who support Voice. Of course we are happy to discuss your ad and help you with it by either designing it for you, referring you to a designer or assisting you as you prepare it yourself.

Calendar. If you wish to list your event in our calendar, we ask that you email your event to info@voiceoftherivervalley.com or use the submission form on this website. Event listings are free and limited to 125 words (on line) and must be approved by the editor. Please include event title, venue, address, fees, names that are relevant, email/phone/website, town, other relevant information.

Press releases are important to us and will be published according to the amount of space we have. We give priority to non-for-profits so if you wish to guarantee visibility to your event, it is best to run an ad. Please be certain that your press release includes all the information needed, that it is no longer than 225 words and that a contact phone number and email address is included in case we need to contact you regarding your submission. Send press releases to us at info@voiceoftherivervalley.com before the 15th of each month if you wish them to appear in the print version of Voice.

We welcome pieces/poems written by those who live in our focus area. Please check our writer guidelines and mission statement before submitting your piece. At this time we are not paying for submissions. Rather we offer writers an opportunity to give voice to their ideas and to publish in a respected and popular publication.
